BUT at the same time it is the right thing to do if you want to truly be happy and be blessed by God!! God has done some wonderfully amazing things in my life this past year all because I have given in all to Him daily or I do my best to. I am not the best at giving up control, but I see a gigantic difference when He is in control and I am not! I love in scripture this verse to remind me of exactly that. "He must become greater I must become less" John 3:30. George (my bf) and I have done a couples study called Peasant Princess by Mark Driscoll that is AMAZING! I highly recommend it! You can get it through itunes and watch it there or you can go to http://peasantprincess.com/ This study goes over Songs of Solomon and I believe is ten lessons about an hour each. They are pre-recorded sermons from Mars Hill Church. I can not tell you how much this study has helped spur on a Godly relationship between the two of us. In the study Mark suggests a few books to read also. George and I will start The Five Love Languages sometime this week! I can let you know how that goes if you would like! I would love to hear how The Love Dare goes if you don't mind sharing!! Look forward to seeing you again soon! So happy I got to meet you in such weird, but amazing circumstances! ~BrittShook Brittanyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11138411078993874087noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2030887301429066630.post-14967177866515788152010-02-23T23:11:14.050-06:002010-02-23T23:11:14.050-06:00Following God's will for your life, whether as...Following God's will for your life, whether as an individual or as a couple, begins with the desire to give up one's will and control and "sit in the passenger seat" and let God drive. Does God want to control every aspect of our lives from what we eat for breakfast to where we live, work or who we marry? I don't know that He does. But what I do know is that when the heart is right, the desire is to follow and please God, He makes His will known, and He makes it happen. Either with or without our conscious decisions. The conflict comes when we take the control from Him because we don't like where we think He's leading us or it's not what we want. Pretty awesome "heart condition" to have... :)Karla Goldsberryhttp://www.facebook.com/karlagoldsberrynoreply@blogger.com
